Residents in Cockermouth can view and comment on plans and proposals to reduce flood risk in Cockermouth next month, as the Environment Agency and Cockermouth Flood Action Group host a public exhibition for the local community.
The exhibition will allow residents from Cockermouth and surrounding villages, to find out how the Environment Agency plan to reduce the risk of flooding from the Derwent and Cocker to approximately 360 homes and 55 businesses in Cockermouth, see designs for the proposed flood risk management scheme for the town and provide feedback to the Environment Agency.
The exhibition will be held in an empty shop on Main Street (formerly ‘Brysons’) in the centre of the town on Friday 11 November from 10am – 7pm and Saturday 12 November from 10am – 5pm.
