Just to let you know that the Met Office has issued a warning for tonight for a brief period of strong winds this evening
The warning can be viewed here:
It is important that you are aware of the strong winds forecast for this evening as this could impact events being held in the region. In addition there could be some trees/branches blown down and wind-borne objects could prove hazardous.
The strong winds are associated with an area of low pressure crossing the UK from Northern Ireland to the SE of Scotland during the course of the aftenroon. The prolonged period rain will soon be replaced by scattered locally heavy showers and an increase in the wind from a north westerly direction.
If you are able, please keep up to date with the weather as it develops on Hazard Manager.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further advice or clarification.
