A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency today at 17.00 hours. The rivers Derwent and Cocker should peak at 3am and begin to recede at 4am. Further updates will be issues as we receive them.
The Met Office Regional Advisor for NW England – Alan Goodman has sent our flood group the following message and Flood Guidance Statement:
As of 10:47 am this morning the last of the flood alerts for this area where ended, and the outlook until Christmas is for snow & ice, but no flood warnings. I wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas.
