Emergency grants for individuals and families
Grants may be made for charitable purposes to relieve hardship in Cumbria caused directly or indirectly by the storms and flooding in November 2009
Funded by donations from individuals, local businesses and government bodies
Flood resilience work is included irrespective of being fully insured
We can provide support for the following:
From the Cumbira Flood Recovery Fund (External Link)
and from the Allerdale Borough Council fund (External Link)
This is not an exhaustive list
Flood resilience work is included irrespective of being fully insured
Grants for flood resilience work of up to £2,000 are normally made in two parts
1. up to £500 to pay for a survey
2. the remaining £1,500 for measures based on the survey results
You will need to provide evidence of the survey.
In exceptional circumstances other evidence may be acceptable
